Supervisor and Foreman Safety Leadership

The practical safety skills of a first-line leader: your legal duties, job planning and inspections, toolbox talks, coaching, training, incident response, OSHA inspections and building a crew that looks out for each other.

The foreman or supervisor is where safety succeeds or fails. You decide what gets planned, what gets inspected, what is tolerated and what gets stopped. This course is for the person who has just been promoted, or who has led crews for years without ever being taught the safety side of the job. It covers your legal responsibilities, how to plan work and spot hazards, how to run meaningful toolbox talks, how to coach and correct, how to train and verify skills, how to respond to injuries and near misses, what happens in an OSHA inspection, and how to handle production pressure without cutting corners.

What you’ll learn
